AMA Southern California Championship MX Series Round 1: MX3. Raceway Sciacqua took the momentum of his 250cc A double-moto win into the Vet A class, by taking both motos hands down. "The track was flat and rock-hard and slippery, which is why my KTM 520 worked perfect," said Sciacqua from atop the podium. "I brought my two-stroke, too, but when I saw the track, I knew I'd do better on the 520. Coming out of a rock-hard turn on a four-stroke, you get way better traction. " Suzuki RM125-mounted C.J. Mahon wasn't riding a four-stroke, but that didn't stop him from topping the Schoolboy and 125cc B competition. Like Sciacqua, Mahon had a flawless day, winning every moto he entered. Mahon also mixed it up with 125cc A winner Mike Meadows during the 125cc A/B combined moto, Toe! Sciacqua's perfeCt day Included wins in the 250cc A Yet A
