Chad Worton too k the ho leshot , fo ll owed by J eff Cla rk, Bu ck y Gero lam y and Dyl an Gussell i. Casey Emm erson overshot the fir st tum and sma ck ed a hay ba le . Qu inn Barri nearly snagge d the holeshot but was taken out by another rid er and cartwheeled , rem ou nting dead last . Meanwhile. Clark q ui c kl y passed Worton for the lead and im m ed iatel y beg an pulling awa y . Bam wa s on th e ga s, tryi ng hard to m ove into second, but he jumped wide an d nearl y cased a hay bel e. Suckin g it up . Barri settled for th ird. behi nd Cla rk and Worton. In m oto two . Clark pulled th e ho lesho t. bu t Barri sn atched th e lead b y t urn t wo, whil e back in tu m one. a huge pil eu p took out at least ei ght riders . Barri attempted to extend hi s lead by doubling throu gh th e trick y do ubl e- do uble bu t nearl y went down. A fter th e first lap, Barn was comfortable in fron t wit h a four·second lead . Back in the pack, Clark was on cru ising control, all alone in second - but he k new a second-place fin ish wo u ld hand him the overall. Chapm an and Worton were running th ird and fourth. Go ing into the third lap and fin al lap , Worton cam e up to make a bid for th ird. bu t he killed t he engine and dropped ba ck . Unfortunately , the pack was so close tha t he lost abo ut 15 spots before he roos ted off again. Worton's misfo rt une pu t spark into Chapman. who took off afte r Clark. a n e _ so who was roll ing j u m ps by this tim e. Wi th a quarter-lap to go, Chapma n pull ed up to Clark and gave him a pan ic rev , bu t Cla rk decided it was ti m e to tum it up a notch, and he quickly pulled out by a co up le bike length s. Way up front, Barri took an easy victory. followed by Clark. Chapman and Gusse ll i.
