Anything was possible! On the second lap , run ve ry fast , Lampkin confirm ed h is skill and again scored th e b e st result: 24 m a rks . Be h in d him , Cobos was th e best. His score of 25 la unc he d him to the r u n n e r- u p p osit ion ahead of Jarvis . It was a bad lap for Japanese Fujinarni, ending with a crash from a jump in the la st indoo r s ection. DAV2 Saturday afternoon's snow co ntinued a ll n ight, stopping only with the s un o f Sunda y mo rni ng . At the end of the first lap , the man of the m oment - Cobos - wa s a head with on ly seven m istakes. Beh ind him , with nine poi nts, was J arvis, and on ly in th ird p la c e sat Lamp k in wit h 10 ma rks . Fre ixa and Kuroy am a were tied with 11 po ints , th en Fujina m i at 13 . Cobos was unlu c ky o n the s econd lap, getting a flat in sectio n two an d losing five points (a nd , more im portantly , conc e ntratio n) . Lampkin, howev er , cranked up his focus and showed everybody h is sa fe riding style tha t has allowed him to win so many grands prix. His second lap , w ith just one point dropped , was su perlative. He won , but his country man Jarvis was not far back, ha ving scored fou r po ints.
