Troy Gammill ended up w inning this Hooligan ra c e on h is Yamaha R-6 , sponsored by Rio Yamaha i n Las Cru c es, New Mex ico. Rac e numb e r se ve n, the 750c c Superbi ke c o n te s t, wa s won b y Richards on his R-6 . Mass ey grabbed second place, an d Shr ev e finish ed third. This wa s o ne of th e few races of the da y th at got spread o ut and di dn't provide th e sp ectators with any hard fo ught battles. F ormul a O ne was the last sprint race of the day , and Heemsbergen once ag ain had Richards gl ued to his t ai l fo r the fi rst two laps .
