Broo k s held second at the start of the second moto, in fr on t of Metz . but Metz quickly passed Bro o k s for seco nd and Rey nolds passed Br ook s on the third lap for third. Rodney Carrier took th e hol es hot in the fi rst 250cc A moto o n an S&S Pow ers ports KTM, in fr ont of Baker and Sean Fleenor. Carrier led most of the fi rst lap but was pass ed by Bak er just b efor e the finish l i ne . K evin La m pe hel d thi rd , in fro nt of Metz and Larry " Sluggo" Gessner. Baker started to pull awa y and Lampe dropped back to fi ft h on la p two. Metz passed Carr ier for second on the th ird lap, and Gessner started to pressur e Car rier. For th e re st of the m ot o , Carrier a nd Gessn er battled for t hird, with Gessner co m ing out o n top . Lam pe finished fifth. Carrier too k th e hol esho t ag ain in moto two , in front of Baker and Gessner. Lam pe w en t do wn in t he first turn with Br oo k s an d di d not fi n ish , due to mec ha nical p robl em s. G essn er an d Metz both passed Carri er on the third lap and set the fina l runn ing order. Baker took h is second overall win for the day. Gessner claimed second overall w ith a 3 -2 finish . Metz (2 -3) took third , in front of Carrier and Studley. Carri er ha d his fo u r - st ro ke KTM d ia led in and took the hole sho t in all four moto s o f the O v e r 25 A an d Over 30 A cl asses, but Gessn er c am e o ut o n to p in both classes. La m pe p ass ed Carrier for th e lead on the second lap, and Gessn er made th e pass on Carrier fo r second place. Gessn er ke pt th e pressu re on Lampe, and Lampe fe ll to third , moving Carri er ba ck into sec o nd. Nugent m oved up to ta ke fourth away from Fleenor and set the final running order. Lampe followed Carrier off the first turn again in the second mo to , in front of F leenor. Carrier still held the lead at t he end of the first lap, fo llo w ed b y Lam p e , Gessner, Fleenor and Nugent. Lampe passed Ca rri er on the sec on d lap for the lead , and Nugent and F leenor battled ba ck and forth for fourth for t wo l aps befo re Nugent claimed that spot fo r goo d . Ges sner passed C arrier fo r second w ith a lap t o go, a nd ' t ha t w as t h e final change in the top five. Gessner took th e overall with a 1-2 pun ch, a n d L amp e ( 3 - 1) cla im ed ru n ne r- u p . Carri er (2 -3) took t h ird o ve r a ll , in front o f Nuge n t and Fl eenor.
