Miller was on his game, and he assumed the lead early in the race. Unfortunately for Utterback, a miscue resulted in him running in the back of the pack and finishing a disappointing 24th. Miller checked out, securing the overall via a 2-1 taUy on the day. Meanwhile, Gonzales fared much better at the start of moto two, and he used his better start to his advantage, finishing behind Miller for second overall. In the Ladies and Minis race, Susie Ishmael won the new Ladies Over 35 Amateur class, closely followed by Rose Beunier and Soraya Morrison. Ashley Crouch is the only girl in the Pee Wee 50cc Intennediate class. She finished the race on her KTM JR on the same minute as the only two boys who somehow managed to stay ahead of her, Cory Kuehnhold and Michael Lamon. Another up-and-coming Pee Wee racer is Tyler Fipps, who was competing in only his second TCCRA race, in the Pee Wee 50cc Amateur class. Fipps was very excited after the race, recounting how much fun he had, especially on the straightaways - though he wasn't as fond of the "bumpy' sections.
