Mota two's holeshot had a familiar ring to it; Ernsberger, Osmialowski and Withrow again led the pack around tum one. Ernsberger went over the tabletop first on his Ernsberger Performance/Brickyard Suzuki RM. Ernsberger held off Osmialowski for a lap and a half before giving way. With ·Osmo· out front, Ernsberger held off Withrow until lap four, when Withrow found a hot line past Emsberger on the way to the checkered flag. Matt Ray and Badgely battled back and forth all moto, with Ray coming out ahead of Badgely to round out the top five spots. Thacker Motocross Park Boreing in a Yawner By JAN WEISENFELS SMITHVILLE, AR, FEB. 11 Round two of the Arkansas Hare Scrambles Series was held at the new Thacker Motocross Park. Due to the efforts of track owner Roy Thacker from Fort Worth, Texas, Smithville had its very first hare scrambles. Boreing took the lead on the first lap and held his position for the entire race. Boreing rides for Gas Gas North America and Smackover Motor Sports. In the 2001 race season, he will be riding the National Enduro Circuit, the Black Jack Enduro Circuit and the SCRA. Boreing qualified for the 1999 ISDE Junior World Team, and he won the silver metal. He has also eamed honors as BJEC overall champion. Boreing said that Smithville was a fun race and described it as different than most other events, with more open trails with a motocross section, and that the terrain was not too technical but still challenging. Log Road MX Ditton Sittin' Pretty on the Log BY BART NEWMAN BRONSON, MI, MAR. 4 National number 6N, Alex Ditton, showed no ill effects of the long Michigan winter, as he took convincing moto wins in the 50cc (4-6) Shaft class at Log Road's AMA District 14 and 152001 MX season opener. Kory Bremer timed the gate perfectly in mota one, leading the pack around tum one. It wasn't long before a hard-charging Tyler Bassler managed to slingshot into the lead. Bassler's glory was also brief, as Bremer retook the lead. Then Ditton threaded his way into the lead, putting Bremer back to second. Once out front, Ditton opened up a lead th.t he held to the end. Bryce Martinez was all over Bremer, and she wasn't alone - Tyler Jimenez and Brock Carper were right there. Martinez and Jimenez were able to freight train past Bremer.
