The first two laps of moto one had Kawasaki's Scotty Tremble making an honest attempt to catch Smith. Suzuki's Roger Thayer, Yamaha's Greg Lewis and Suzuki's Blake Keeton fought for third early in the moto. By lap three, Smith had established his dominance on the dirt, and Austin Squires and Michael Sigmund had moved up to challenge Keeton-for third. A sizzling three-way rumble heated up between Trimble, Keeton and Squires for second, leaving the battle over fifth to Thayer and Sigmund. On the white-flag lap, Trimble and Keeton fought to the wire for second place, with Trimble edging out Keeton, who was followed by Squires, Sigmund and Thayer. Moto two was canceled due to darkness. It was Nath_an Davenport's day in the 125cc Intermediate ranks. Davenport gave his Kawasaki a little extra juice to squeeze out the holeshot in each moto. In moto one, Davenport had company on lap one as he led a four-bike freight train that included Brian Starnes, Brandon Fulton and Adam Turner. By lap three, Davenport had opened a slight lead, with Starnes, Fulton and Turner still vying for second. By lap four, Davenport had opened up a seven-second lead, and Turner outmaneuvered Fulton and moved up one spot. Starnes and Turner continued their battle royale, but Starnes was able to hold off Turner at the checkers.
