the finish line for the final spot on the podium. Demuth salved a fourthplace finish, followed by Denny Stephenson, Tiger Lacey and Brad Hagseth. Pedro Gonzales finished out the race in ninth, followed by Canadian Darcy Lange. Later that night, the gate dropped for the 250cc main, and Demuth, Holland and Stephenson shot to the front of the pack. Demuth sprinted to the front, while Holland blitzed through the whoops to get by Stephenson. Holland was on the move right away, as he duplicated his move through the whoops to get by Demuth for the lead. By the third lap, Holland made it quite clear that this race was his. He had the whoops dialed in better than anyone, and he gradually extended his lead for a convincing win in front of the home crowd. (HoIland lives in nearby Fresno.) Demuth held down second for the whole race, while Stephenson tried doing the same in third. But Stephenson cased a rhythm section, enabling Antunez to get around him. Stephenson stayed within passing distance of Antunez, but Chad Johnson decided he didn't like fourth anymore and charged around Stephenson, and, surprisingly, started challenging Antunez. Johnson pushed Antunez to the end but couldn't get around the champ. Demuth finished second to HoIland, followed by Antunez, Johnson, Stephenson, Gonzales, Lange, Willoh, Hagseth and Lacey. There were new race winners on Saturday night, and things could not have gone much better for the Carrollton land, Hagseth, Gonzales, and local rider from Lodi, California, Daniel Blair, rounded out the top 10. Kawasaki camp. Their riders - Demuth Lange became the fourth different rider to win a main event at Sacramento. The Canadian pulled out all and Lange - finished 1-2 in Saturday night's opener in the 125cc class. Antunez, seeking his second win of the weekend, came up a little short in this one, finishing out the 125cc main in third, just ahead of Willoh, Suzuki rider Nick Metcalf, Stephenson, Hol- the stops in the 250cc main and beat Antunez across the finish line for his second win of the series. The Suzuki riders currently enjoys a huge 153point lead in the series over WHloh, so Antunez knows that there's no sense taking big chances if he wants to win his fifth Arenacross title. Finding his way onto the podium for the first time all weekend was Gonzales. The Kawasaki moved up to third in the series points standings after Gibson, who was in third, was forced to sit out Saturday's racing because of getting dinged up the night before. Fourth in the 250cc main went to Johnson, followed by local rider Billy Jurevich, from Hollister, California, and Oregon's Ryan Huffman.
