Suzuki-mounted Joe Red made no mistakes and led seven Novices from the ·beginning to the end, despite Richard Lamis' fast
and determined fender-riding pursuit. Lamis
was there to collect second place.
Red couldn't keep his early lead in moto
two, and a faster Jim Williams up and passed
him. Williams kept blazing ahead for five more
laps. acing first place. Lamis crossed over for
second.
