and Tanner England finished second .
"Th e track was bea u tiful," e nth used En gland. " It had a lot of new trails . I had a good
time."
Roth was fourth on the first lap, bu t by the
second lap he had worked his way in to the lead,
and he ne ver looked back.
john Banes won the Vet class and finis hed
third overall, followed by Express Cycles' Steve
Fitzgerald a nd then Rick Kinkelaar.
"The track was very techni cal. with about 80
percent new trails," said Fitzgerald . " I liked the
off-cambers."
" I go t a third- place start , had tro uble wit h
th e a rrows and got a flat o n the seco nd lap,"
reported Kink elaar. " 1 changed m y tire , go t back
ou t there to try and sa ve some points. Wh en the
rai n ca me, I kn ew l cou ld n ' t ma ke up m u ch
tim e. I just tried to maintain a steady pace."
james Han cock took first in the Four-Stroke
class.
"I though t the course was grea t," Hancock
com me nted. " It was very technical, a fun hare
scramble trac k."
Cha rlie Meyer took the wi n in the 250cc B
class.

after Scott Ir w in . Bra n d o n Lindemann took

Ther e were a lot of positive comments about
ho w fun the cou rse was. Everyo ne seemed to
like the new trails and the technica l parts of the
track. Meyer, a member of BET, helped set up
the course, and he sa id it was a lo t of fun layi ng
it ou t.
jim Mollet was hurt pretty badl y at this race,
br eaking both of his heals , and he will be in a
wheelchair fo r severa l months. His fellow riders
wish him the best of lu ck in his recovery.

AA rider Steve McCall, being the true sportsman that he is, d isqualified hi msel f beca use he
missed part of the course. " It was really fun , but I missed a turn," he
admitted, "and 1 figured I' d skipped a mile or so
of the loop ."

james Turner from Yamhill rode to a seco nd place finish in the Open Expert class . He co mmented that he had a grea t rid e a nd that he
