To clinch his second consecutive series title, Blackwell had to beat Brian Garrahan (KTM), and he did just that, finishing three places ahead of Garrahan, who finished fifth on the day and second in the series. Joining Watts and Blackwell on the podium in Indiana was Aus tralian Damio n Smi th (KTM), who raced Watt's practice b ike to thi rd overall.
