Starwest Cycle Park: Nick Hensley (51) finished second In the 250cc Intennediate contest, but he won the 125cc Intennedlate class in Moreno Valley, California. PERRIS, CA, DEC. 5 Kenny Clark won the 80cc Novice class with consistent finishes in both motos at round four of the Holiday Series at Perris Raceway. When the gate dropped for the first moto. Dane Jackson snagged the holeshot, with Clark and James Turner following. Jackson clicked off some good lap times and began to put some distance between himself and the battle for second_ A very aggressive Turner looked to the inside through the rhythm section, trying to snag second from Clark. Jackson's front wheel washed out through a pow~ der berm, and he found himself playing catch-up. Benefiting from Jackson's mistake, Turner went on to win the first moto, with Clark following. In the second moto, Turner grabbed the holeshot, with Brandon Spencer and Jackson Exposition Arena Starwest Cycle Park Tittlemier tames Starwest B Y TONY ALESSI MORENO VALLEY, CA, DEC. 11 Honda-mol,lnted Warren Tittlemier tamed the local competition with a convincing win in the 250cc Intermediate class during the final round of the Fall Contingency Series held at Starwest Cycle Park. Tittiemier gated third in the first 250cc Intermediate moto, behind Canadian Brandon Prochnavy and local ace Nicholas Hensley, who pulled out to an early lead but began to slew late in the race. "I have the stomach flu tonight," Hensley lamented, "and it makes me weak after a few laps." Tittlemjer reeled them in, chewed them up and pulled away for the victory, followed by Prochnavy and Hensley. The second moto was almost a carbon copy of the first, but this time, after Tittlemier tore his way through the field, he went on to.a big lead. Hensley held on for second, while Prochnavy experienced problems and settled for third. Team Thousand Oaks Yamaha's Mike Alessi scored three separate class wins tonight, topping the 60cc (9-11), aocc (7-11) and 125cc Novice classes. "When I was 5, n Alessi recounted, "I started racing the 60cc class, and they would say, 'You're too small for a 60 bike.' When I was 7, I raced an aocc, and they would say, 'What are you doing on that?' I don't think it should be any big surprise that I am on a 125cc now at II." Alessi went on to top the series champion, David Valdez, and Canadian Matthew Prochnavy in the 125cc Novice division. Alessi also topped his brother Jeff and Shane Kelly in aocc action, and Jeff and Shawn Hayes in the 65cc class. Results 50 STK: I. James Frigo (Cob): 2. Kieffer SUVA (KTM); 3.
