lead wit h about a quarter of the first lap to go. Wallace dropped to second . Rounding out the lop five were Corey, Batso n a nd Mark Wundrack. Stratton quickly put some distance between him self an d Wallace. The top five spread out and the orde r rem ained un chan ged to the checkered flag. Stra tton took the moto win with a IS-second lead. Pumped from his first-mote win, Stratton managed to ge t th e second-mo to holesh ot and the early lead , with Wallace, McCarthy, Batson and Camero n Eccles in tow. Stra tton bobbled in the whoop section at the end of lap one and managed to save it, but not before losing two positions to Walla ce a nd McCarthy. McCarthy managed to get around Wallace for the lead by the start of lap three. Wallace then found him self being pressu red by Stratton, who quickly passed Wallace for second and set his sights on McCarthy. Walla ce th e n go t pa ssed by Wund ra ck . Stratton reeled in McCarth y by the last lap and made the pass for the lead with only a qu arter of a lap to go to the chec kered flag. McCa rthy dropped to second . Wallace passed Wundrack back for third near the end of the moto. Moto two went in the books as Stra tton, McCa rthy, Wallace, Wundrack and Corey. Robert Johnson earned holeshot honors in the first moto of the 12- to I3-yearold 80cc class, trailed by Don Scilipo te, Pat Simpso n, John Lawrence and James Ayres . Scilipote had the lead by the start of lap two. Simpso n moved up to seco nd and passed Scilipote for the lead by the halfway mark of lap two . Scilipote d ropped to second. Rounding out the top five were Bob Kiniry, Lawre nce and Brian Dempsey. Kiniry had the lead by the time the white flag came ou t. Simpson crashed w hile running second an d rem ounted in fou rth . Kin ir y took the m ot o w in , with Sci lipot e, Dempse y, Simpson and Lawrence trailing. . Dempsey n a il ed th e second- mote holeshot but Kiniry had the lead by the third tum. Dempsey dropped to second. Simpson was third, Lawrence fourth and Scilipote fifth . Kiniry had an l l -second lead by the start of lap two. The top five w e re s p re a d o u t b y th e n a n d wen t unchanged until the last lap. Kiniry took the moto win with more than a 2D-second lead. Dempsey went over his handlebars in the whoop section only seconds before the checkered flag. He managed to salvage fourt h.
