Cunningham's happy day at Weatherford Motocross . By Deb Hershman WEAlliERRJRD 1XJ UlY16 , A n impressive number of folk s c;:'a me o u t to wa tch the Frida y nig h t races a t Weat herford Motocross park. The first event of the nigh t was the combined 60ce class . Nico Dollar nailed the hoJeshot, bu t he was qu ickly passed by Kyle Cu nn ing ha m. O n lap one, Dollar tried to regain the lead, but by lap two Cunni ngham had set up camp ou t front and he rema ined there the enti re moto, with Dolla r ea ting his roos t. Ashton Densmore ran un chal len ged in t hi rd . In m oto tw o, C u n n ing ha m earned the holesh ot, wi th Dollar once again on his rear fender. The two lead ers burned up the tra ck as Dollar wor ked to find a n openi ng for the lead . Conningham used a full dose of th rottl e an d ma inta ined h is lead to the finish , winni ng the overall. Dollar earned second ove rall. Thir d overall wen t to Dens more. Rounding out the top five were Braydon Kramer and Kend el Loving . A grea t race developed for the overall win in the co mbined Over 30 / 40 event with evervone running very close during the first lap of mc to one. Midway, a hot thr ee-way battle was fought b et w een Ja s on Bolling , Todd Hans en a n d Dwayne Tin cher. Bollin g was in co ntro l-u ntil Hansen got around him briefly on lap three just befor e the finish line . Bolling regained the lead a t the hol eshot corn er on th e whit e-fla g lap. While Bolling ope ned up the lead in the straightaways, Hansen was abl e to ca tch up in the corners. Tincher rema ined in close contention, and on the white-flag lap he was able to pass Han sen w hen it appeared Hansen had run out o f steam. In moto two, Bolling once agai n jumped out front to an earl y lead . with Tincher challenging, whi le Ray Mahar and Hansen ba ttled for th ird . Bolling held the top spot to the checke rs. Hansen made his move past Mah ar on lap four a nd held on to checkers , giving spec tators lots of bar- toba r mid field action . Justin Klind era claimed two holesh ots in his bid for the overa ll win in the 80cc Open class. In moto one, Klindera held the earl y lead as Mar cu s Wadl ey and Dan iel M.1rtin foug ht for several laps for seco nd.
