top hon ors in the 250cc Open B and 80cc (7- 11)
classes, respectively, on da y one of the inaugural
Pe nnsylvania All-Sta r Nati o nal, hosted by the
Yen tzer family at the Doublin Gap MX Park.
Rich Atkinso n nailed the holeshot of the first
250cc B rnoto on Sa turday. Trailing him wer e
Carl Snyd er a nd Da vid Gino lfi. On the infield
sect ion, Atkinson held the po int posi tion, with
Sn yd er . Jose ph Tr on e, Gregory Bow ers a nd
Gino lfi in tow . Snyd er crashed, allow ing Bowers, Gi no lfi and Tr on e to move up a positi on ,
a nd Sexto n rounded ou t the top five . Snyde r
re mo u n te d a bo u t mid p a ck . Gino lf i p ass ed
Atkins on for the lea d a t the start of lap two.
Th en Bowe rs mana ged to get around Atk inson ,
dropp ing Atkins on to third , with Tron e a nd Sexton ho ld in g on to fourth a nd fifth . Halfw ay
thr ough lap two, on the infield sweepers, Bowers passed Ginolfi for the lead . Ginolfi man aged
to take the lead back jus t after the start of lap
three by d oing the trip le after the ca mel-bac k
jump, while Bower s did no t. Sexton passed
T rone fo r fourth near th e e nd of lap t h ree .
Ginolfi managed to pu ll aw ay, and he took the
che ckered flag wit h a 16-second ad van tage.

Sexton earned the hole hot honors in the secs

advantage by the end of lap two. Gino lfi passed

Weller crashed after the step-do wn tabletop just

point position. Wages moved up to second. Toth
was third , Wile wa s fourth a nd Hackley now

falli ng in the morni ng, the track retained a nice
moistu re to keep down the dust. While the first
mot os were ru n in slig htly mudd y cond itions,
the sec o nd mot e s featured a n ice, tacky race
track.
While Ca rroll was a ble to mo to r ov er the
compe tition in the 80cc Extra class, he settle for
d
second overall beh ind the Yam ah a of Na than
Skaggs in the 80cc Senior division. as Skagg s' 2-1
postings beat out Carroll 's 3-2 performa nce.
Flo rid a' s Ricky Re nner was un stoppa ble in
the 65cc class. The KTM rid er went 1-1 over local
hotshoe Tyler "Danger-Boy" Bow ers' 2-2 fin ish
in this heav ily contested class .

pack to the front, a nd at the beginnin g of the
th ird lap he wo rked his way und er Dave Fa ria .

Sise mo re qu ickly moved up un d er Cu rry an d
into th ird p lace, but it w as too little, too late.
Fisher closed slig htly on Fe rris in the last turn,
bu t ca me u p half a d oze n bike lengths short,
and Ferris had his sec ond Hand ica p main of
the year.
"Boy, it' s grea t to ge t a wi n on this tra ck,
said Ferris after the race. " I tho ught for sure tha t
I'd be feeling ji mm y or so me body before th e
checke red flag, bu t when I looked around; I was
amazed tha t they wer e n't catching me. I gues s I

Fisher held on to second place, Sisemo re was
third, Dave and Mike Faria were fifth and sixth
respec tively, and Curry was at the back, making
su re nobod y got behind him .
