Zulian had eaten up Hale's two -second lead by the middle o f the second lap, and he ca p t u red th e po sitio n p ri or to e n te r in g th e rhythm section. A lap later, Hall got past Book, with Karlsen cha rging a nd in p ursuit. Zu lia n p ulled ou t the win with a three-second adv antage a t the checkers for the ov erall. Bunch, Tesh come out a-blazin' at Top Gun SX By Kirk Johnson IR ONST ATION, NC,MAY30 Great wea ther greeted close to 300 riders on the Memorial Day wee kend for round sever:'! of the Ultra Series. Racers were also trea ted. to a sligh tIy red esign ed track at the Top Gun Supercross Pa rk . Whil e so me rid ers stru gg led to come to terms with the track, two riders - Brad ley Bunch and Dan iel Tesh - qu ickly ca me to ter ms, ga rne ring a win apiece by d ay's end . In the 250cc B class, Suzuki-mounted Daniel Tesh to ok co m ma n d o f mot o o n e . H age r Kawasaki-mounted Shane Hager, Yamaha rider Jason Bald win, Suzuki of Gastonia 's Dou g Earls a nd A I Lan e Ya ma ha-m o u n ted Jerr y Stra ng e were all in hot p urs uit . Baldwi n a nd Earls were invo lved in a crash early in the moto tha t took them both ou t of conten tion . Th is left Tesh a nd Hager with a large lead over the rest of the pack. Tesh, not wanting to be invo lved in a la te-mota struggle, kept his head down and slowly pu lled a lead over the Kawa sa ki rid er.
