Scott Summers is recuperating well from the April 6 practice crash that left him with a broken left femur and a cracked hip-joint cup, according to his manager, Fred Bramblett. The 1982 Honda NS750 is just one of nearly 100 motorcycles that will be on display at the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum's new exhibit, "75 Years of Excitement" - scheduled to open on July 9. The NS750 was ridden by Mike Kidd and is owned by Al Bergstrom. The bike is the predecessor to the highly successful RS750. A motorcycle ride to fight AIDS - Pride Ride - will be held on June 6, with the route taking motorcyclists through San Francisco, California, to the Eagle Tavern for a beverage benefit and cycle party. According to a press release issued by the company, the Excelsior-Henderson Motorcycle Manufacturing Company has reported a net 10 s of $7,769,172 fOT the first quarter of 1999, or $.58 a share, compared to a net loss of $3,604,745, or $,28 per share, for the first quarter of 1998, "We now look forward to the balance of 1999, during whicll we transition from a 'development stage' company to an operating company," stated the cofounders of the company, Dan, Dave and Jessie Hanlon, "Production is increasing on a planned, steady pace a nd the motorcycle is being wellreceived by tl,e motorcycle community, and we are happy to welcome our new customers to the Excelsior-Henderson family." The company hit the $1.9 million mark in first-quarter sales for 1999. American Supercamp, a dirt track school that uses Honda XR100s, has recently released its 1999 calendar. The schools kick off with a two-day session in Springfield, Illinois, May 28-29, and winds up its seven-session season December 2-4 and 5-6 in San Jose, California. Darrell A. Triber, 67, was killed when he lost control of his motorcycle during the Mike Marshall Memorial races on April 18 in Okanogan, Washington. Triber operated Triber's Cycle in Spokane, Washington, and ran Triber's Stateline Speedway from 1972 to 1993, a track where many Northwest racers got their start. Chris Agajanian Presents has announced the availability of tickets for a limited number of exclusive VIP luxury suites for the inaugural running of the Dallas Mile at Lone Star Park in GP Motorcycles in San Diego, California, is now an official Aprilia motorcycle Grand Prairie, Texas, on September 11. The suites offer prime viewing for the race and include private cocktail bars, elegant dining and beverage menus, outdoor balconies, couch and chair areas, and television monitors. In addition, Agajanian Presents has also made luxury-skybox and private-suite tickets available for the season-finale Del Mar Mile at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in Del Mar, California, on October 11.
