The free event at Hollister Hills SVRA drew a crowd of hundreds, with most of the excitement coming from the 125cc divisions. While Berhorst was busy expanding his lead in the first moto, the real race was for third place. For the entire first lap, Jeremy Weatherly was able to maintain h.is second-place position. Although it looked as if he had secured the position, Gary Wedmon had a different idea. By the second lap, Wedmon had passed Weatherly and was looking to pass Nathan Mah. Wedmon did not achieve his goal, and now he had a new threat, in the form of Zac Baxter. Throughout the race, Baxter was within passing range of Wedmon, However, Baxter did not pass Wedmon and settled for fourth in the first moto. Weatherly finished second and Wedmon third, followed by Baxter, and Ruben Valles rounded off the top five. '. Things changed in the second mota. Serhorst finished first to take the overall win. ,Mah, who had held second throughout the first two laps, dropped back. Wedmon took over for Mah and maintained the position throughout the race to the finish, giving him second for the day. Also benefiting from Mah's second-lap mishap was Baxter, who placed third in the mota and fourth for the day. Mah finished Ln fourth and third overall. Ruben Valles, who placed seventh, took fifth.
