he 28th annual World Mini Grand
Prix will be presented in Las Vegas,
Nevada, April 7th through April
11 th, 1999 on an all-new track layout.
The track is located on the north end
of Las Vegas and offers convenient
access to all the great entertainment centers and casinos the city has to offer
There are 34 different age and ability
classifications presented for Pee Wees
up through 125cc and 250cc Pro classes
and the new Four-stroke classes.

GIANT PRO PURSE
In addition to the $20,000.00 plus
contingencies that the factories are offer- .
ing the pros, NMA awards a $5,000.00
purse to pros covering all four classes
available and the Four-stroke " A". The
World Mini Grand Prix has always been
the "showcase" for the up-and-coming
pros beginning with Jeff Ward and up
through McGrath, Windham, Lusk,
Carmichael, Emig and most of the other
prominent riders on the national MX
scene.
FACTORY CONTINGENCIES &
AWARDS
Over $80,000.00 is being offered by
the seven major motorcycle factories for
the various classes. World Championship trophies are awarded to the top
ten in each of the amateur classes, or
30% of the class entries. In addition,
over 30 of the top aftermarket companies will be at the World Mini Grand
Prix with displays, awarding products
and supporting NMA's racing activities.
CLASSES FOR ALL
In addition to all the motorcycle
classes, both stock and modified for all
levels of ability, there are classes for the
60cc and 80cc classes offered based on
age groups.
Gates will open at 8:00AM on
Wednesday, April 7th allowing the sea
of motorhomes, vans, trucks, and displays into the park. Post entries will be
taken between 9:00AM and 4:00PM
Wednesday only for those who have
mailed in their entries.
Practice for all classes will begin at
7:00AM on Thursday and run through
conclusion. Racing will begin Thursday
afternoon after all classes have practiced. Racing will continue Friday at
7:00AM and every day through Sunday
with the championship motos scheduled
for Sunday, followed by the awards presentation. The Friday and Saturday
activities will conclude in time to allow
everyone to enjoy the exciting Las Vegas
night life.
With the all-new track facility and
the outstanding contingencies, prizes
and awards, this year's World Mini
Grand Prix promises to be the premier
event of 1999. No advance events or
practice is scheduled for the all-new'
track which will make it equal for all.
