Bryan Nelson sprinted to the Vet Pro victory at CRC's Merry Christmas Grand Prix, held at Los Angeles County RaCeway. whoops. After making the pass, Barnes' was gone. Nunley hung tough to edge a tight pack consisting of DeFalco, Bezzant and Stefan to capture the 2S0cc Intermediate overal1. Barnes's two-moto score easily earned him the 125cc Intermediate overall. Mark Frehner put his Suzuki out in front in 250cc Junior action. Rory O'Neill immediately passed Frehner. It was not long before Frehner passed O'Neill back. In the first lap alone, the lead ·duo swapped the lead several times. Finally, Frehner was able to hold and extend a lead when Jeremiah Jones got around O'Neill. Frelmer went on to a solid victory over Jones and O'Neill. O'Neill lit it up to start the second moto, leading Dana Hansen, Frehner and the rest of the field out onto the course. Frehner struck quickly, passing for second, and then he set out for the lead. He made the pass on O'Neill in the big sweeper. Once out in front, Frehner galloped home with the big win and the overall 250cc Junior crown. O'Neill held a solid second for second overall, ahead of Jones and Patrick Warren. Results point, Sheax had Ramsey in his sights, but he was wlable to make the pass and he would have to settle for the second-place money. Hughes used consistent 4-4 rides to earn third over Jeremy Hell and Madsen. The first 125cc Intermediate mota was a Hamblin benefit, as the Yamaha speedster led every lap in the l2-lap race for a seemingly easy victory. Turbo Reif chased Randy Clark for much of the race before finally finding daylight with a couple of Laps left to move iJ,to second place, where he would finish. In one of his first races as an Intermediate, Ryan Fedorow worked his way up tiU"ough traffic to finish third, ahead of Clark. Hamblin was just as impressive in mota two, grabbing the lead on ti,e opening lap and elisa ppearing with the win. Reif gated in ~second place and stayed there for the duration. A good. battle for third place erupted between Bobby Bloodworth, Fedorow and Clark, with Clark prevailing to sew up the position with 4-3 finishes. Results 50 (4-6) STK: I. Dilkotn Gamer (Cob); 2.
