Th e second -mote holeshot went to Moore; he was followed by Quino nes, Segundo, Flory and Mendenhall Moore got hun g up in the tight offcamber right-hander and dropped to fifth before he coul d regain his mo mentum. Quinones inherited the lead, but this time it was Segu ndo's tum to hound rom . And that he did, as Flory was a little ways back in third , with a s tr ugg li n g Mendenhall in fourth. The AMA, District 23 and the DTRA held their ann ual post-dirt-track-season awards banquet at the Princeton Co mm unity Center . Com pe titors a n d cla ss champions of both o rgani zati cns enjoyed a pot-luck d innc'r, rod a chance to ,fin some nice door pri zes donatt'Ci by ma ny co ntributors and received their respective year-L--nd awards. Th e afternoon wa s topped off by a full afternoon of enjoya ble ben ch racing. The 1998 season saw some exci ting n~w na!' promoters emerge, in the form of the North Ctntral Dirt Track association. B&R racing pron o-tio ns wa s form ed when Dav ey Dur elle Promotions wa s sold to Eric Brouhard and Bob Reynolds.
