fo r seco n d, with Rudy Rodriguez fini shing
slightly off th e pace in fourth, ahead of Kevin
Gahan.
Sometimes the starts a re every thi ng on the
rutted Perris track. as proved by Gahan, who
nailed the start and he ld the ins ide lines to co llect the seco nd-moto victory. Hern andez made
his wa y up into the runner-up position by lap
th ree, which was good enough for the overall
win. Cla rk followed Hern an dez up through the
pa ck to finish third a nd co me o u t on top of a
po ints tie wi th Barre tt for seco nd overall .

in the mota to finish in second place and sew u p

Gadd is first rod e the Ove r 25 class . A good
sta rt and s tro ng rid ing took the num be r-nine
Kawasaki KX250 to the win, givin g him a little
extra track time. Then he was off to do ba ttle in
the Pro classes.
In the firs t 125cc Pro mot o, it wa s Hofmaster
nailing the start, w ith Gaddis and S horeline
Ka wa saki's Dave Oettel giving chase. To rq ue
Center's Eron Ezerins and Nielsen's Kurt Jennison filed in next. Gaddis scoo ted by Hofmaster
ca r ly o n and pulled awa y . Hofmaste r rod e
strong th e next se ve ra l laps as Oettel, Eze rin s
and Jennison battled behind him.
Wh en the checkers came out, it was Gaddis
with a co mfortable lead over Hofmaster. Ezerins
did his part by working into third, while Jenni son crossed fo urth .

away. Hofmaster sett led into seco nd, as he knew.
