Walk er wanted to sho w th e new kid o n the blo ck who w as boss ea rly o n lap one a nd ap plied he a vy pressure. Th is tac tic soo n backfired and Walker slid down on the slick track. Black used this to his advant age and opened u p a slig h t le a d . Wit h Wa lk e r go ing d o w n , Ches ter took tip the chase. As the moto entered th e mid d le s tages, Chester had taken o ver the lead, wi th Black still in to w. Wit h all the attention focu sed o n th e tw o front-run ner s, Walk e r was slicing his wa y back to th e fro nt a nd wa s now ho t o n Black's heels.
