Prieto and Luke raced pr ett y close d own the: back straight, bu t by lap fou r thei r position-swapping ba ttle ha d end ed . The rCJ I action was takin g place just behind them, and Narup mov ed up to claim thi rd place . Prieto began to put some distan ce between himself and Luk e, an d wit h on ly two la ps to go , Na ru p co n tinued to hol d third, bu t he was be ing challenged by Doug Gross, w ho was systematically movi ng up through the pack. Th e wh ite flag ca me ou t and Gross claimed victory in th e battle for third p lace. Pri eto headed down the back stretch agai n for the final lap with a five-secon d lead ov er Lu ke. And as he made h is way th rough the fina l turn of th is reco rd -breaking race, Prieto walked awa y with it. Prieto too k home first-place trophies for two of the thr ee events he entered: Expert Unlimited Grand Prix and GTl. He finished second to Luke's win in the Expert Un lim ited Superb ike event.
