Holland kept the pressure on Schncll throughout the remainder of the race, passing him on the white-flag lap. But his moment in first place would be short-lived, as Schnell was determined to finish firsL Schnell made the winning pass on Holland just three comers from the finish line. • "We t>ngled elbows," Holland said aboul the pass, "but neither one of us was going to give an inchJ" Following Schnell a..d Holland past the checkered were Brett Racine in third, Pestana in fourth and Espen Blikstad. Tyler Evans held a steady third for more than half the moto but suffered a setback. falling 10 an eighth-place finish and packing it up for the day. Holland, determined not to have another work-through-the-p.ack kind of race, pulled the holeshot in molo two. Clawson Motosport/ProCircuit/Yoko's Mark Workentine followed in second place for the lirst two laps before a mishap dropped him back to the eighth-place spot on lap number three. Schnell happily filled in the number-two spot, keeping in mind that.he had to pass Holland for the overall. FMF /Sinisalo/Spy-backed Blikstad, now in third place, kept fixed on Schnell, but he was only able to hold on to the number-three spot for three laps before Jeff Northrop negotiated a pass into the thirdplace position. Northrop was forced 10 fend off Racine, but surrendered third to Racine at the halfway point. HoU>nd went on to take the win and earn the overall victory, while Schnell took second and second overall. Racine held on to finish third (and third overall), with Northrop following close behind in fourth and Pestana in fifth. R....1ts so (U): 1. Tevin TapU (KTM); 2. Scouy Craven (J..'TM); 3.
