The popularity of ice racing is getting stronger every year. It is becoming apparent that as the cold Minnesota winters seem to be getting longer, the only way to nip that cabin fever in the bud is to break out the bikes and go racing. The Over class title also fell into the hands of Larson, with Zitur finishing a close second. Motocrosser Mark Deal was a constant threat and finished a respectable third in the points. Although 80ee Mini dirt track sensation Shawn Burr won every event of the season, he was closely chased during the last couple of events by a steadily improving mini dirt tracker nanled Travis Henrichs. Duluth, Muwesota's Cary Goeden (an MXer) followed suit by winning every 250cc B race he entered, along with the championship. The Over 38 Senior class saw hare scrambles contender Doug Deering earn the title by scorĀ· ing two event victories. Dirt track racers Don Bettis and Lloyd Turner finished econd and third.
