Consistent Clark collects
CRC Motorcross win

Consistency paid off for Suzuki pilot Jason Clark
as he collected the 125cc Novice-class overall
win wi thout winning either mote during Cali fornia Racing Clu b's Sunday motocross at Los
Angeles County Raceway .

Opening-round action saw Donnie Durrer
grab the ea rly lead over Colin Morrison, Dusty
Naber and Clark. Durre r's reign lasted a little
more than a lap before he went down in the
sand and dropped back to ninth p lace. Morrison
inherited the lead, with Clark getting around
Naber to run second. Deuce Rutledge and Tun
Weigard were climbing up from midpack starts
to run fourth and fifth, respectively. Morrison
ended up setting the fastest pace for the entire
first moto to get the win over Clark. Nabor
crossed the finish for third, ahead of Weigard.
Durrer sliced his way back up to fifth, and he
might have bettered that position if time hadn't
run out.
Durrer returned with a vengeance 10go wire
to w ire for the second-mote win on . his
Bell/Thor/White Brothers-backed YZ125. Oark
gated in second place and held that position
throughout the molo 10 earn overall honors with
his consistent 2-2 rides. First-mote winner Morrison could only manage a fifth in round two,
but still earned the thi rd-place trophy for his
efforts. Weigard (4-3) and Naber (3-4) rounded
out the lop five in the standings.
Blake Robertson W.lS the dominant force in
the 60ee Beginner first moto, as he nailed the
holeshot and slowly p ulled away for the uncontested win on his JCX60. Tanner Alexander made
his way aro und Derrec k Murphy after a lap to
finish second.
Robertso n resumed his lead on the opening
lap of the second moto, but Langham found the
necessa ry speed to take charge by lap two . langham ra n out front for mos t of the moto, with
Robertson fina lly able to retake the lead in the
final stages to sew up the overall wi th his 1-1
score . Third went to Murphy, with Tunmy RitzIe r and Dav id Me di na finishing fo u rth and
fifth, respectively.
