Incred ibly, the third-fa st~t time was also in the 2500: class, as An thony DeHart flew his CR250 over the lop in a blis te ri n g 3 .37 1 se conds - fas t eno ug h to wi n any oth er class, but good eno ug h only for seco nd place in the 2SOcc class . Fo rtner' s second win came in th e large st (a nd u su ally faste st) cla ss, the 500cc division . Ridin g a Jack~n Perf(lnnance-pT~pared CRSOO, Fortner performed his high -flying act again and card ed a 3.3Q5--seco nd .first· round ride, just fast enough to ed ge ou t John Scroggins' 3.427-st. C" ond ride for the !>CCOnd-place spot. Scott Pet ty, Darrell Trent and Kelly Brady filled ou t the top five spots.
