Th is a n nua l event is used by the nonprofit organization to d issemina te' the season's profits. Prizes this year tallied nearly $30.000. wh ich was spli t am on g th e 259 rid ers broken in to 36 classes throughout the three-day extravaganza. Besides the high -caliber mo tocross action provid ed , the event proved to be a manufacturer / d istributor showca se. and those in attendance were also treated to evening entertainme nt in the fa nn of a d isc jockey, as well as a dunk tank and games. Wht"f' l'"f got off the line first in moto one and ! used the clea r trac k to his advantage as he dista nced himself from Motoworld /ZLT/FMFbac ked Dustin Nelson, who was busy holding off Applied /8m',. Pipes./Zing-backed Tim Beat ty . Beatty remained a thr eat to Nelson for scve r- : .II laps but , in the end, Nelson was able to pu ll ahead for a solid second-place finish. Whee ler then won the seco nd moto to lock up the overa ll win ahead of Nelson and Beatty. Wheeler also took repeat wins in the 125cc (16-25) Open d ivision. wheeler then looked as U he would make a clean sweep of his eve nts by winning the first 125cc Expert mote.
