other side of town, a good-sized ri der
turnout, combined w ith a large ga llery
of spectators, made for exceptional race
action. Myers made sho rt work of two
classes, taking home wins in the 125 and
250cc C classes.
Ano the r lo cal rider, Mike Miller,
us ed his fami liarity with the technical,
jump-line d course to jump out front of
the com b in ed BOcc A /B cla ss, but he
quickly found out that the Kawa saki of
Clyde Jones was a force to be reckoned

Craig O'Connell scored a convincing
holeshot in the first 125cc C moto (the

an untouchable lead un til New Mexico's
Eric Randall overcame a poor start and
clawed his wa y into contention, spending the rest of th e race trying to get
a roun d th e Honda jockey , w ho won
regardless.
Levi Buchert, who rode near the tail
end of the pack in the fir st moto, ran
well ahead of th e se con d moto . But
Randall , the recipient of a poor st art,
quickly moved to sec ond, se tti ng up
another of his many exchanges for the
lead. Randall, though, cra shed several
times, allowi ng Myers to se tt le into
sec ond . Myers eventually got a ro u nd
Buchert for a w in (one that would eam
the Hrs t of his two overa ll wins), beating Buchert and Jones in the moto, and
Buchert, O'Connell, Washington's Nick
Snider, and Jones in the overall.
