charge from last to first. As I recall, his
prot ege Skip Aksla nd sa id, aft er he wa s
al mos t blown off the tra ck, " I though t
Kenny taug ht me everything he kne w,
but I gu ess he sk ipped a few lessons."
Kenny rode the paint at th e ed ge of
the tra ck and wa s often in the dirt. The
ride was incred ible and it left no doubt
that he was the King. I do n't recall that
he ever rod e the re ag ain an d d idn't kee p
track if his hot time is s till in the record
books.
