Krause grabs the cash at GFI Motocross By Ky le C. Parsons PERRIS, CA. JUNE 1. "Show me the money!" is what Kyle Krause was saying after winning the 125cc Beginner class at the first contingency round o f the CFl Saturday Night MX Series. Ricky Ro g ers reel ed off the first-mote holeshot, p u rs ued by Mic ha e l Wh itson, T.J. Berarid , Jason Moore and Krause. Whi le tryin g to reel in a very fa.'d Rogers, Whitson went down mid way thr ough the first lap , h.1ndin g the secend-place position to Moore . Moo re then pulled Krause along with h im as bo th riders w ent a round Berarid. On lap three, Rogers was 's till hold ing onto firs t, bu t was unaware of Zl hardcha rgi ng Krause, w ho quickly disposed of Moore to mov e in to second and set his sights on Rogers in first. With one lap to go, Krause was able to get around Rogers for the first-moto vic- tory. Jesse Gottschalk was able to dispose of whitson to move- into fourth ; Krause followed. now in sixth. Up front, Ho rvath was looking very strong and was ab le to p ut so me di stance on Rog ers, who may have been playing it smart. with the overall in hand if he was to stay there. Krause would have something to say about that as he moved in to fourth. With one lap to go, Rogers bobb led and fell bad to seventh. Rozanex, Krause an d Gottsch al k were all ab le to secure top- five finishes, with Krause taking the overall win .
