I'll be ready to start winning in three weeks." A torrential thunderstorm half an hour before the scheduled start of race two, during which mechanics had to push bikes the half mile from the pits to the staging area to meet the waitingzone time limit, flooded the track. After the start had been delayed twice while the organizers tried to drain the track, the decision to cancel was made just before 5 p.m. Rider spokesman Nicoll said, "There was no alternative.
