The pair sparred around the course, but by
lap three Riddle had put some distance on Gibson, who made up some ground through the
super six (a set of six whoops) and was breathing down Riddle's back on the final lap, but Riddle took the win
By the 125cc B final, the track announcers
were calling the 13-year~ld Riddle "Bodacious
Ben"as he piloted his machine around tum one
at the start of the first-moto action followed by
25 other charging riders. The first lap of action
saw Riddle in the front spot followed by Ryan
and then Gibson.

the chase to Riddle. Once Gibson closed to Riddle's rear fender, the pair pulled away from the
field. Gibson pulled beside Riddle, but Riddle
eventually pulled away slightly, taking his third
moto win of the year.
Moto two saw Riddle again nail the start
perfectly, though he soon dropped to second as

Meteorological madness
at McArthur Motocross
By Rupert F. Pelld
MCAR'JHUR, OH, APR. 13
A plethora of midspring weather conditions was
experienced by the most hardy of District 11 racers at this Southern Ohio motocross event as
track promoter Tab Thompson hosted round
three of his spring series.
When riders arrived for morning's practice
the course was well-watered and prepped to
near perfection; then the rains came.
Sleet, snow, hail, wind, showers and chilly
weather ruled the rest of the day, with many rid~rs opting to keep their bikes. dry and not compete, while'others slogged on and made the best
oEil.
The Pee Wee riders were treated to a freshly
Iaid-out course in a nearby field, as conditions
on the main course were impassable for the little
bikes. Grove Gly's Richard Robinson proved to
be unstoppable in both the Over 25 and Over 30
