ished the moto in fourth. At the finish,
Wheeler took the win followed by Preston while Nelson took the overall with
his victory in the first moto.
In the 250cc Intermediate class, Chris
Cooley claimed the win following two
hea ted battles. Cooley took on fellow
competitors Michael Collier, Ron Gilbert
and Kenny Terracciano. Gilbert and
Cooley went at it during the first mojo,
the two riders swapping positions several times until Cooley finally made it
stick. Collier came back from a terrible
start to work his way to third, but time
ran out and he had to settle for where he
was.
In the second moto, Collier came out
swinging and took the early lead and
never looked back. Cooley was in a
strong second, but was never a real
threat for the lead. At the finish Collier
won the moto, but it was Cooley with
the overall.
.
In other race action, Patrick Pennington was the big winner in the 60cc 0- to
8-year-old class. Pennington won the
first moto, but had to fend off fellow racers Dustin Enoche and Taylor Gilmore.
In the second race, Gilmore took over
the lead position and held it to the finish. Pennington was able to hold second
in moto two to secure the overall.
Ciilmore had to settle for second because
of his first-moto finish in third, while
Enoche took home third-place honors
for the day.
