passed Sweat for second and Carsten
had moved up four positions, into the
top 10.
Neese was next to edge past Sweat,
outrunning him down through the Budweiser whoops to drop Sweat to fourth.
Out front, Sellards was running away
from the field. He never looked back on
his way to a wire-to-wire win.
On lap three, Bentley put the pass on
Burkhart and Neese caught Dunaway.
Bentley had a couple of good lines that
Burkhart picked up on and when he
block-passed Sweat before the triple,
Burkhart also got inside of Sweat to
claim the fifth spot.
After. Neese outran Dunaway down
the step-up section, the top five were.
set, unless Carsten could get up there.
Carsten had to battle past Collier,
Katin and Greg Rand as the race wound
down and the white flag came out.
Carsten then passed Sweat right before
the finish line to claim sixth, a great ride
in tight arenacross racing.
Sellards picked up his second win of
the weekend (fourth of the series) follewed by Neese, Dunaway, Bentley and
Burkhart taking fifth overall. Carsten
took sixth ahead of Sweat, Rand and
Katin. Collier rounded out the top 10.
Neese led Sellards at the start of the
250cc Pro race, but Sellards went around
him in the Budweiser whoops. Dunaway, Bentley and Carsten were blasting through the pack, trying to reel in
the leaders.
Sellards maintained a small lead on
Neese until lap five when Neese caught
Sellards in the grandstand whoops. Sellards had a line in the whoops that
allowed him to clear one more whoop,
and he would pull away from Neese
every lap in the same spot.
Sellards was the only rider able to
clear that section, and Neese spent the
rest of the lap trying to catch back up to
him. The leaders battled for most of the
main with Sellards taking his third win
of the weekend by two bike lengths.
Bentley put in a solid ride to take
third overall ahead of Carsten and Dunaway. DeMuth took the sixth spot ahead
Katin, Collier and Mark Musselman,
the Over 25 winner. Mike Morgan finished right behind Musselman to round
out the top 10.
