Th'omas MILTON, FL, FEB. 1 "Bullet" Bob Riker justified his nickname by shooting down his 250cc B-class competitors for first overall at West Florida Motocross Park. John Kiley took the first-moto holeshot with .Craig Woolard so close that they were nearly riding the same bike, followed by Lee Johnson and Riker. Woolard took the lead the first time over the infield triple. Johnson showed Kiley his front wheel repeatedly in a series of tight switchbacli: turns before squeezing by in the jump-filled front straight. This put Johnson within striking distance of Woolard. Daniel Young, rid.ing a 125, jumped past Riker on the big step-up, ripped past Kiley and practically landed in the middle of. a shootout for the lead with Johnson and Woolard. Young then put a surprise move on Johnson and wheelied past Woolard in the whoops only to have Woolard blast underneath in the next tum. Young finally made a pass stick in a huge bowl berm. Woolard succumbed to Johnson and Riker, who began their own dogfight. Johnson was hammered in the whoops and braking bumps, but used the straights to stay ahead. Riker jumped alongside Johnson on the big step-up just atter the white flag and zipped by as Johnson stalled in a tight right-hander. Young finished first ahead of Riker, Johnson, Jason Clawilter and Chad Willard.
