Pocorobba dominates Sunstate Supercross By Kyle Myers DNA, FL. JAN. J7 Anthony Pocorobba was the dominant rider at Friday Night Sunstate Raceway Supercross, winning the 125 and 250cc Pro classes to take home the lion's share of the $2000 Pro purse. In the 125ee Pro main, Pocorobba led the field into tum one with Brock Sellards, Charles Dunaway, Terry Kennedy and Barry Carsten follOWing. Carsten quickly passed Kennedy on the opening lap as Pocorobba opened up a fivesecond lead by the end of the first circuit Positions stayed the same until just past the halfway point as Carsten slipped by Dunaway for third. Pocorobba was on the gas and lapped all the way up to fourth as he took the easy win over Sellards, Carsten, Dunaway and Kennedy. Pocorobba again jumped out to the early lead as the pack funneled into the first tight right-hand tum to start the 250cc main. Mike Katlin, Sellards, Andrew Despain and Ray Mitchell rounded out the top five places. Sellards flew by Katlin on lap two as Pocorobba checked out from the competition. Mitchell and Dunaway were on the move and passed Despain and Katlin to run in the third spot. After falling in the first turn, Carsten charged through the pack and soon was into the top five, after Katlin pulled out of the main. Two laps later, Carsten motored by Dunaway and blasted past Mitchell to take over third. Meanwhile HSKS-backed Pocorobba opened up a 15-second advantage over Sellards and Carsten that he held to the finish. Dunaway passed Mitchell late in the race to finish fourth and take the last paying spot. Pocorobba had two mains under his belt. Results 125 PRO: 1. Anthony Pocorobba: 2. Brodt Sellards; 3.
