(Below) Doug Blackwell leads a host of AA riders on his way to runner-up honors in Fordsville. overall finish, while Kevin Creekmur powered his Yamaha to second in this class. Scott Martin moved his Kawasaki into the lead and held it to finish with about a minute-and-a-half cushion over Robert Roy in the Vet A class. Honda competitors Jeff Stoess and Eddie Taylor raged all race long in FourStroke A action, with Stoess taking first. The Lich brothers, Robert and Stewart, owned the Open B class on this day as they moved their "big-bore" Kawasakis into the lead and held it to the end, with 'Robert also garnering a top-25 overall finish. Brent Mercer got out front early on to claim top honors in the 250cc B action, with Dave McWilliams charging to a well-deserved second in this class on his Moto-Tech-sponsored Honda. Results O/A: 1.
