of the final lap. Entering the front straight and
heading for the checkered Ilag, Beck moved
alongside Fraser. Hover, Fraser was able to edge
Beck at the line to linish third behind Adams
and Voelker.
In the Coors Light/Tom Sera Racing Formula Two Grand Prix, 1996 Formula Two-class
champion Steve Teschke took the holeshot, 101lowed by Cliff Tolley in second and Kenny
Canedo running third.
Rounding tum eight in the first lap, Canedo
shot into the lead, pushing Teschke back into
second. Two laps later, Teschke got around
Canedo in tum two, retaking the lead.
Just past the halfway point, Teschke began to
open up a gap on the rest of the field, but the
fracas for second between Canedo and Tolley
continued. Down the back straight in lap six,
Tolley moved around the inside 01 Canedo to
grab second. Canedo slowed, giving Tolley a
smalJ amount of breathing room.
A lap later in the back straight, Canedo powered past Tolley to retake second. However, Tolley drafted Canedo down the front straight, then
passed him On the inside of tum one. As the racers ,rounded turn eight for the final time, Canedo
zoomed past Tolley to finish in second behind
Teschke.
