1n mota two, Lemon Grove's local holeshot
artist Robertson gated perfectly and grabbed the
start, but Wiedman led out of the canyon with
Search and Robertson in tow. Wiedmann rode
smoothly and looked as if he might pull away,
but lap six this time was not so much fun. n,e
stress of being out front caused Wiedmann to
bobble in the canyoll.
Robertson and Wiedmann were now bar to
bar as they came over the tunnel jump, and at
the end it was Robertso~out front followed by
an upset Wiedmann, Search, Collins, and
Williams rounding out the top five.
Other action on the Mini track had Thousand Oaks Yamaha rider Dustin Davis takinghis
first victory since returning to racing after he
broke his arm in-line skating. His first day out
on the '97 PW50 was a great one for the O'Nealbacked rider.
In mota one, the holeshot went to Flyiog H
Racing's Riley Harper. KTM/ AC Racing support rider Jason Rodo was close beh.ind, followed by B&L Plumbing's Garrett Gordon, Cale
Summerfield then. Davis. By lap 10, the Modi.fied
riders were way out front, while Davis led the
Limited/Stock riders. 0" the last lap, Harper's
brakes failed and End.o took the lead and the
win, followed by Davis, Gq,rdon, Summerfield
and past Lemon Grove winner Myles Nail.
In moto two, Harper sizzled around the
course for the win. followed by Endo, Davis,
Gordon and Summerfield.
