win over Gibson. WaHers just held off a hardcharging Clint Shepard at the checkers for third.
Begin's second-moto lead lasted half a lap
before Gibson s<~iJed past off a jump to set the
pace. Shepard pushed Begin back to third and
set out after Gibson. By lap three, Tilley had
Shepard in his sights.
TiUey put the move on Shepard for second,
then got a break when Gibson had trouble and
went to the back of Ule pack. Shepard hounded
Tilley aU the way to the checkered flag to make
him work for the win. Cole Gress held off Walters and Begin to fini h third.
Mairose got around fast starters Michel
Becke and Ronnie Densford only to tip over in a
slow, sandy tum and have his efforts go down
the drain. Mairosc put in a great second-balf
effort to repass Densford for the lead with a lap
remaining for the first-mota win. Robbie Dunham came through the field for third.
Becke took the holeshot in round two over
Dunham and Mairose. Dunham feU in a slow
tum and blocked Mairose, sending them both to
the back of the pack.
Mairose never gave up and picked off riders
one by one to claim the second-mota win aboard
his YZ250. Densford used 2-3 finishes to top the
5-2 score of Becke for second overall.

Jensen jams at SRAC MX
By Stacy Jensen
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO, DEC 1
Cody Jensen scored two overall Mini·class victories at the Sp~rts .Riders Association of Colorado's first race of the Winter Series.
The Mini B class saw Brad Alarid jump to an
early lead in the first moto with Marc Henderson, Jensen, Josh Saathoff and Jeff Noriega following. Alarid maintained the lead while Henderson, Jensen and Saathoff battled intensely
behind him.
During the second lap, Jensen flew by Henderson on a left-hand sweeper at the top of th.e
track after a long straight that had two double
jumps located on either end, but Henderson
quickly recovered and Jensen h~d to wait until
the fIfth lap before he was able to squeeze by.
Jensen was 12 seconds behind Alarid, and he
began to leave the other riders and gain on the
leader. He carne within two seconds of Alarid at
the finish.
The second moto saw Henderson off in the
lead and Noriega, Jensen, Saathoff and Alarid
following. Jensen began an immediate run for
the lead as he blew by Npriega and then ran
down Henderson in a right-hand turn that led
into a small double, which was approached at
full speed by both riders.
Jensen emerged victorious, Saathoff took sec~
ond and Alarid settled for third, followed by
Henderson and Noriega.
Open Ml.ni action saw Vickery-sponsored
