before WilJoh pulled ahead for good. After eight laps of racing, the top five were Willoh, Holland, Tiearney, Bloomfield and Ryan, in that order. Willoh started the second moto ahead of Holland, Tiearney, Bloomfield and Ryan. The riders quickly settled GOwn and held their positions as they clicked off the laps until the white flag. Willoh took the checkers for first overall. Tiearney searched for a Ii ttle extra speed on the last lap, found it, and roosted past Holland just before the finish, taking second overall to Tieamey's third. Bloomfield was fourth for fourth overall and Ryan rounded out the top five with a consistent 5-5 score. Scott Davis grabbed the holeshot in the first 125cc Pro moto as Willoh, HoIland, Shane Esposito, Jake Windham and the pack gave chase. Davis held the lead for over a lap before falling victim to Willoh. By the end of the second lap, Davis had dropped back to fourth as Holland and Esposito got by. Rick Ryan was in the hunt for two laps before retiring from the race. With the fans cheering, Holland blasted around Willoh and briefly led the race. Willoh was tough, however, and retook the lead on the third circuit. As the race progressed, Holland and Esposito stayed close to Willoh. Meanwhile, Windham and Tiearney diced for fourth, and their momentum carried them past a fading Davis. After that, the finishing order looked firm with .two laps remaining, but Esposito unexpectedly emerged from the back section ahead of Holland. Next, Windham passed Holland to move into third place. WilJoh cruised the final lap, taking the win ahead of Esposito, Windham, Holland and Tierney. In the second moto, Holland and Ryan were missing from the line. This was okay with Tiearney, who nabbed the holeshot ahead of WiIloh, Esposito, Windham and Bloomfield. Davis overtook Bloomfield on lap three. In the final laps, WiJloh hounded Tiearney relentlessly, and the persistence paid off as WilJoh passed Tiearney just before thewhite flag. Willoh took the win with Tiearney, Esposito, Windham and Davis finishing close behind in that order. In the 250cc Beginner class, Marysville's own Mike Gorda Jr. showed impressive speed right off the gate. Once out front, Gorda would not be stopped as he raced to victory ahead of Randy Spauling, Mike Bennett, Tony Dias, Joe Vance and the remainder of the 21-rider field. "1' d like to thank my sponsor, Rancho Auto Recyclers, Charlie Sexton and my dad for all their help," Gorda said after his moto win. Just a little behind the lead duo, Spangle diced with Josh Lipscomb and Vance. The battle raged for five laps, but Gorda held on to win with Oement second. Spangle's third in the moto secured him second overall. Clement's 6-2 notched third overall, Vanee was fourth with a 55 tally, while Lipscomb's 8-4 scores were good for fifth.
