Northrup nails Cahokia Creek

Jason Northrup set the fast time of the day on
his way to victory in the 750cc class during the
Cahokia Creek Dirt Riders first hilictimb of1996
at their clubgrounds just west of White Gty.
The 500cc cia s is usually the fastest, and it
looked like it would be again this evening.
Northrup started the first round with a good
3.205-second ride on h~ Honda but was quickly
bested by Mark Shafer, who turned 3.028 seconds on his CR500, only to see Andy Former
beat his time with a 2.969-second run to take the
first-round class lead.
