Seitz snatches win at Cheyenne Motocross By Stacy Jensen OlEYENNE, WY, JUNE 2 Mall Seitz put his Honda into the winner's circle aftee facing a fierce field of competitors in the Open Novice class at the Cheyenne Cycle Club/Sports Riders Association of Colorado event. Seitz matched his motocross experience with that of 46 other riders who were looking for glory. As 40 riders headed into the first tum in the main even t, Ken Vettraino grabbed the holeshot and the lead with Seitz, Wilson, Rich Langren and Doug O'Neill rounding out trye lop five as riders headed up the stairsteps. Along the back section of the track Steve Milacek made his bid for a spot and moved pass O'Neill to take fifth. At the tablet"p jump Vettraino was holding onto his lead by a hair with little more than a fraction of an inch between riders and bikes as Seitz pressed at every opportunity. When Vettraino swung around to head down the ski jump, Seitz moved to first by turning the section into a drag strip. Bob Ketchum and VItgil Sampson both managed to get around Milacek. Going up the stairs in the second lap Seitz and Vettraino began 10 open up a lead over third place. During the third lap Ketchum moved to third with a sweet pass on O'Neill. At the end Seitz had a t:hree-second lead over Vettraino, Sampson had moved to third with O'Neill in fourth and Ketchum was fifth. Wilson, who had a great qualifying run and good position out of the gate experienced bike problems or fatigue and finished with a disappointing 21st. Results 50 NOV: 1. Thomas Suman (Cob); 2.
