of Peter Lewis and Jamie Macy. Steele and King
were quickest at the start, but it took only one
lap for Lewis and Macy to take things in hand
and successfully hold the Steele/King team off
for the win. The show spot went to Roger Loeffers and Arnold Fimbres.

Huntersville Enduro
By Kurt Shwle
HUNTERSVJI.LE, MN, JUNE 2
Matt Stavish was the Grand Champion at the
District 23 season-opening Enduro in the small
town of Huntersville.
Even though the trees were tight, the sand
made Huntersville Open<1ass territory, as 1991
State Champion Mark Hoasek proved by capturing second place AA with 17 points. Wisconsin's
Steve NareJ narrowly edged out Holasek for first
AA, after points officials dug deep in the rule
book. Narel had also carded a 17 and tied
Holasek at two emergency checks.
KDX rider Kelly Getz drove a few states
north, to win 200cc A class with 21 poinls, while
Joe Zierman made sure the Overall A trophy,
earned with 20 points, stayed in Minnesota.

Krause cruises through
Badgers Euroscrams
By M. Elaine Meadows
~
RED MOUNTAIN, CA, MAY 11-U
Paul Krause. dominated both days of racing at
the Badgers M.e. Mother's Day Cop Out Dual
Eroscrams.
On Saturday, Krause led from start to finish,
opening up a lead of as much as seven and onehalf minutes, posting lap times of one minute
faster than any other competitor during the
course of ihe two-day event. His physical conditioning really payed off as his events were held
during the hottest part of the day and he was
charging full blast for the duration of both Saturday's and Sunday's events.
The combined Women, Mini and Super
Senior contest on Saturday featured a racelong
battle between Curt Casselli and Doug Chiapuzio, with Kawasaki-mounted Chiapuzio taking the win. On Sunday it was Chiapuzio leading from start to finish.
At the end of Saturday's racing the Badgers
put on a kids' race for all girls and boys under
12 years of age and unable to acquire a D-37 racing license to have some fun of their own. About
25 youngsters showed up to twist the knobs.
Danny Girch baWed into the lead after a couple
of tip-overs.
