MOTOCROSS. . AMA 125f25OCc National Championship Motocross Series Rounds 6/6: Southwick, MA (Left) Suzuki's Ezra Lusk came within a half lap of winning the first 125cc moto. A 2-3 gave him second overall. (Above) A hole in the radiator ended John Dowd's ride in the first 125cc moto, but he came back to win the second, much to the delight of the home crowd. I (Below) Local rider Tony Lorusso holeshot the first 125cc moto ahead of Lusk and another local rider Shane O'Conner and would go on to finish third. Lorusso ended up eighth overall. "The first four laps or so I was just trying to get my rhythm down," said McGrath. "But Damon was riding good, like the 'old Damon.' One time I stalled the engine and he got real close." Henry 8 held on to fourth; Lawrence fifth and Emigsixth. laRocco looked to have made up for his first-turn crash, running sixth when he bailed over a risky double jump, a jump that only he was doing late in the race. The crash cost him positions as well, as he took the flag in ninth behind Button (seventh) and Albertyn (eighth). Rounding out the top 10 was Ward. The second moto saw Emig edge out McGrath for the lead through the first tum, with Honda of Troy's Brian Swink settling into third, followed by Hughes, Lawrence, Henry, LaRocco, Button and Albertyn. Back in 18th was Bradshaw, and even further back was Ward. This time Emig led McGrath, as another two-rider duel for the lead ensued.
