Cale Wallace pushed his Axo-backed Yamaha to
a d ouble -mo te victory during Saturday night
racing at Starwest Supercross Par k.
Wallace fou nd traction on the concrete starting pad and pu lled the holesho t during the first
moto of the BOcc (9-11) d ivision . Daniel Taft,
however, ga ted poorly and later fell while trying
to catch Wallace.

whe n he fell into line right behind Wallace at th e
s ta r t. Th e tw o pret eens battled for three laps

pulling away fro m Wall a ce. But W all ace, no t

the extra spee d to repa ss Taft. In the end, Wal·
lace we nt un de feated and posted the overall win
in front of Taft, Fox and Medin a.
Chad Go res again proved to be a dom inant
force in Pee Wee competition by to p p ing th e
charts on both the ma in track an d the Pee Wee
track. Gores had to work for the win on th e
ma in track a fter an eight· la p battle wi th bo th
Kame ran Scott and Cody Longe necker .
Wh ile Go re s was b u sy fighting up front,
Brandon Millin gradually worked his wa y u p
from outside the to p 10. During the final laps,
Million put th e ped al to the metal and passed
Lon gen ecker, Travis, Christensen and Wa rren
Davis to secure the runner-u p s pot beh ind the
cham p Gores . Heavy favori te Bryce Terzian had
an off night and finished fifth. we ll off the pace

Hea ley fell victim to a poor start du ring th e
ope ning 30+ No vice mot o bu t stea d ily worked
his way toward s the front . Lead ing the race was
Ron Mowry on his Kawasaki. Healey spe nt most
of the 12 laps jumping over, cutting under and
sliding past th e field, and just when he caught
Mowry, the whi te flag waved. Mow ry blocked
Healey on the fina l circuit a nd posted the moto
win while Mar k Sandz imier finis hed a dis tant
third in fron t of Rob Smith and Steve Reeves
who com pleted the top five.
The second m ot o saw Hea ley cha se d own
and pass Mowry for the mo to an d overall victory, which in a nutshell settled the issue of who
was the fastest vet of the day.

Novice division as well by way of a d oub le moto
victory where he to pped Robe rt Pfetzing and
Dave Fava .
Once agai n Don Upton proved he is the king
of Perris with his victory in the com bined Pro
class. The single Pro race saw Spud Walters get
