Blackburn rode the whee ls off the old machine and eas ily wo n the opening inoto over Durrough and Weaver. In moto number tw o, Durrough led the way with Weaver and Blackburn giving chase. By the end of the fir st lap, Blackburn had moved in to the po int position and slow ly pulled away for the mota and overall win .
